Global Navigation Positioning Systems (GNSS)

In brief, GNSS is a satellite system that determines a position solution through the combination of GPS (US) and GLONASS (Russian) satellite ranging. Survey grade receivers have embraced the combined GNSS solution as the highest possible accuracy solution that can be obtained through satellite positioning methods.

CADS maintains a selection of both Leica and Trimble GNSS equipment. It is common that our clients run GNSS equipment of their own, for which they look to CADS to maintain. Our familiarity with both Leica and Trimble systems, maximises our ability to integrate with all other GNSS equipments used on site such as machine guidance or vessel navigation systems.
