Mangrove Passage – Bathymetric Survey

For our longstanding client Saipem-Leighton Consortium we conducted a full bathymetric survey at Mangrove Passage. The contract consisted of checking the Cyclone Moorings area in between the Mangrove Islands on obstructions and sediment transport. Access channels to and the Cyclone Mooring area were surveyed extensively to ensure safe navigating/mooring in the area.

The project was carried with Point Precision Positioning GPS, giving us 200mm accuracies overall. Due to the remoteness of the area we chartered a vessel with accommodation. The total area surveyed was around 65km2, the deliverables (14 charts-data-report) were presented within ten days of demobilisation.
